| Christmas 2008 Gifts for a Cause |
Okay Spogglings … thank you so much for all your support and enthusiasm.
Very simply this is how we are going to start off this project. If you were planning on giving gifts to buddies over the festive season, these will be the gifts of purpose! For everyone one gift bought, I will add an item to the gift boxes I am doing for the orphanage. AIDS shelter and home for families in crisis.
There have a couple of suggestions on how to track it, I am thinking the simplest and cleanest way would be for me just to check gifts daily. Edit ... Seany is keeping a journal for me which I will copy and paste here ad hoc ~ thank you Peanut!!
Look out for pictures I will post of our growing donations being housed at my place!
I did get feedback that people want to do more and they feel like I am using my own money, which in essence is true, BUT I would have been buying these items anyway for the various Christmas parties, I just feel this is a way to put “giving back” back into peoples minds and hopefully Spogg creators will catch on and maybe donate the sales of our Gifts to a selected cause.
Oh on that note, your gifts will be going to Elonwabeni Children’s Place of Safety and possibly James House which is a local place which helps families in crisis.

| Not waiting for Spogg anymore .. I will just do it. |
Okay so Christmas is coming up really quickly.
Remember my idea of linking charity to gifts? Well now we have the opportunity to do it, it will have to be on a small scale, but hey every big idea has to start somewhere.
So I will upload a picture for a gift (and hope it gets approved), I have a couple in my "Children around the world" album, but if any of you have ideas I am all eyes 
One of my favourites ... and it's not sad, shows that we can bring joy (thank you to Aria)

My general idea, is if you buy the gift, let me know. I will personally buy something for the local AIDS orphan shelter, something small but needed like a brush, toothpaste, underwear, etc. etc. I will take a picture of the gift, not sure about privacy rules if I can take pictures with the kids but I will find out.
Pretty much I would be doing this at this time of year anyway, maybe if Spogglings are buying a "charity themed" gift here itwill just make them think about it more at this time of year?
Okay, input, ideas? I know it's not perfect but its a start.
