| My Story |
Well, many people have wondered who the real Aaron is... I think it is time to tell a little about who I really am:
Chapter 1
It all started in the great kingdom of Etrania. I was just a little boy at the time. I did not know my parents or if I had any. I sought answers and the only way I could get them was to speak with the Elders in the Vault of the Ancients.
As I grew more content of visiting these seers more and more villagers told me the dangers than lurked there. The tales were very outlandish, such as demons that cannot be seen, dragons as big as mountains, and scarabs deadly as vampires. However childish they seemed, the realities were very well possible. I believed these stories not only because I was just turning ten, but because I had nothing else to believe in. The only truth that I could be certain was the pendant around my neck was a symbol someones love. I never knew who gave it to me, but I'll never forget the stranger that passed through town to seek me out. His words echoed through my thoughts and even though I couldn't understand it, I somehow knew what he meant. There is hope for me yet, and the Elders were there to help.
I packed up for my journey very early in the morning so that I could travel for several hours before the sun and bandits were out on the road. Lo and behold, I was up too late. Midway through the swampy lands of Marshmire, I stumbled upon a fairly large man on a black horse. He wore a cape so long it drug along the ground. His eyes were so fixed on me that all I could do was stand frozen. This petrified state almost cost me my life.
The bandit quickly noticed the bags on my side and threw his body in my direction, leaving his horse behind. All I could remember was the great 'thud' of him slamming onto my body. I was thrown back and my elbows were useless in holding my body up. I knew that screaming was a very normal reflex but I was far from normal. My first instict was to pull out my knife from my shoe and to stab him in the back of the head. This was definately easier said than done. His body was almost twice the size of mine and my arms were pinned behind my back. He was furiously tugging at my sash while his forearm jabbed into my neck.
As he strugged to collect my belongings, he loosened his grip on my neck allowing me to shift my body out from under his. As soon as my arms were free, I immediately grabbed my knife and shoved it into his back. He was unconcious in record time, I laughed at this thought and carefully removed his corpse off me. It was only a short while until I was back on my feet and making my way to the entrance of the Vault of the Ancients.
(This is the beginning of my story and depending on comments will decide if I will write more!)
