The objective of the game is to form the highest scoring words from a set of seven letters. In addition to your seven letters you must use at least one letter from the ones already on the board. All letter combinations created must form valid words. To create a word drag the letters from your personal set to the game board. Note that the very first word must be placed on the center square (marked with a star). When you have placed your word, click the Submit button. If you haven't submitted a word within the time limit you will pass the round and get all letters you have placed on the board back.

Notes on scoring
The scores of each used letter is combined and then multiplied with newly covered board multipliers. Using all seven tiles in one turn gives a 100 point bonus.

When words placed by two or more players intersect, the highest scoring word will remain on the board and score full points, with the other words scoring only half points. Should more than one intersecting word tie for highest score, the one remaining on the board and receiving the full score is random. During round one, however, all words score full points.

Mulligan
During the first round only, the mulligan button will appear. Clicking on this will give you a whole new set of letters and you can repeat this as many times as you like during the round. You can still place a word on the board after using mulligan.

Changing letters
Instead of placing a word on the board, you may keep all of your tiles and skip a turn. Should you wish to change one or more of your tiles, select the 'change' button, click on the tiles that you wish to discard, and hit 'submit'. Holding down shift while clicking the 'change' button will preselect all your letters.

Test Word
If you're not sure about the validity of a word, you can type it into the 'test word' box and click on 'test word'. There is no penalty for testing a word like this.
