ugh im bored so ill just leave this here, better than just a reprint of my ava anyway:

I was appointed to oversee this group of new recruits. As I walk into the room, I see exactly what I expected - the faces of three shining youths, fresh from their training, without a real care about themselves, or any real knowledge of what was to come to their futures. I didn't want to do it, but I had to break up their happy-go-lucky session and bring up the grim truth.

"Look here, kids. I know you're excited about this 'hero' job business. But don't get too ahead of yourselves. Everybody has their limits. You shouldn't push them too much. You know what they call people that do?"

Silence. As I figured. Once they had the sudden realization that this wouldn't be all fun and games, it shut them up real quick.. except for one. For one that looked so meek, she was the only one bold enough to reply to me.

"No, ma'm. What do they call them?"

"Statistics."

The young lady looked me square in the eyes, rather nervously at that, before getting up to stand by me, leaving the other two terrified men behind, and opened her mouth to speak, before pausing to think it over, then deciding finally on what she wanted to say.

"Well then, you two. You can be scared of being forgotten all you want, but we have a mission to go on. You didn't sign up for this without thinking there'd be danger involved, did you? ...come on miss, let's go."

The other two stay behind in their stupor while we advance towards our goals. This was only the beginning, but in no way would the end be in sight for a long time.
