We want Spogg to be a friendly place where people can meet, play games and become friends. The majority of our members are very responsible and behave well on the site, however there are sometimes members that for some reason want to spoil the fun for the rest of us.

If you encounter someone at the site that break our well defined site rules, just click the report abuse button () that can be found throughout our website. Your abuse report will usually be handled by our site sheriffs within 15 minutes. You will get a personal message back, that tells you what action (if any) that has been taken against the member that you have reported. First time offenders will most often be sent a warning to be alerted of our site rules. If they continue to break our site rules, their ability to chat and send messages at the site will be blocked. If a member that has been blocked from chatting at the site creates a new account, they will be permanently blocked from the site (their IP address will be banned).

Being safe on the net
On the internet as well as in real life, it is possible that one can encounter people that are dangerous or that want to hurt other people. At Spogg you will remain anonymous as long as you do not give out any personal details, such as your real name, your address, your phone number or your password.

If you are under 18 years of age, always tell your parents before you give out your name, telephone number, or any other personal details to anyone at Spogg.

If you meet someone in real life that you have gotten to know on Spogg:
 - Always talk on the phone before meeting.
 - Always bring a friend to the meeting.
 - Always meet in a public place.
 - Always tell your parents if you are under 18 years.

Advice for parents
The internet is becoming a growing part of young persons' social network. For you as a parent it is important to understand how your children are using the internet.

Try to sit down with your son or daughter when they are using Spogg and ask them about what personal information they give away. Make sure that they understand the site rules, and how to report people that break them. Explain that it can be dangerous to post your name, address or telephone number on their personal page, or sending the information in messages to other members on the site.

Become a member yourself and explore the world of Spogg. You are guaranteed to meet many people your own age and maybe you will get stuck yourself. The majority of our members are adults, and many care a lot about our younger members and spend time looking after them. The more responsible adults we get on the site, the safer it will be for the young ones.
