News Groups - Creating Any verified Spogg member can create a news group. To create a news group, browse into the category where you think your feed makes most sense. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the create news group link. Enter the name of your new group and a short description. Your news group will be instantly created. To customize the group you will need to click the "Settings" link in the group's title bar. In the news group's settings you can decide if other members may contribute and add new items, and of what parts an item should consist (abstract, free text, image etc). To get the feed started, you can also automatically import stories from an existing RSS feed. Note that it may take up to 15 minutes before items start to show up from the RSS feed. Before you add a feed, make sure that it may be legally used on other websites. You can usually see this stated on the website, or you can send an email to the site administrator if you are not sure. |
