Why can't I play the games? There are three possible reasons why you can't play our games: First of all you need to have Java installed. Java comes by default with most operating systems but not always. If the game does not load at all you need to download Java. Simply direct your browser to Java.com and follow the instructions from there. If you are not sure if you have Java installed, you can test your browser here. Secondly, you need to be able to connect our server. If your computer is behind a firewall it is possible that you get a message saying that you failed to connect to the server. In this case you need either to configure your firewall, play from another computer or talk with your systems administrator. Thirdly, your computer may have gotten some sort of virus or spyware. You can use AVG Anti-Virus a free tool for removing viruses, and AdAware to remove any spyware programs you may have. If you are using Internet Explorer we recommend that you switch to Firefox as this is a much safer and better browser. How do I get my picture in the games? First of all you need to create an account at the site. If you have done this, go to your Personal Page, then click Settings and Upload Image. Why do you have annoying ads popping up, it ruins the game-play? There are no popup advertisements at Spogg. If you experience popup ads you have ad- or spyware in your computer. To get rid of them we suggest that you download AdAware which is a free tool for removing ad- and spyware. Where can I find the rules and instructions for the games? Click the instructions link below the play button on the Games page or click on the games name in the list to the right on this page. I haven't played for an hour, why is my time up already? We check the IP number of the persons that play at Spogg. In some case you share this IP number within a family, work place or local network. If this is the case you also share the one hour playing limit. The best solution to get around the problem is to become a Gold Spoggling and you will get unlimited playing time. You can also play for unlimited time when you are not logged in at the site. |
